hyde lounge LA

Hyde Lounge in LA @Sunset Strip

Another nightclub from SBE, a chic, intimate getaway for exclusive socializing.
LA’s nightlife czar Sam Nazarian debuts a Brit-style drinking bar and lounge behind a minimalist stone storefront and single-wooden door along Sunset Boulevard. Some call the place far too small, others think its cozy. However, it has space for about 100 people…
The first-floor lounge features leather and crocodile-trimmed upholstery with oversize Monkeywood tables under a pounded-copper ceiling shimmering in candles suspended from iridescent walls. Sophisticated. The bar features a small plate menu of fusion dishes, ranging from Japanese finger-foods to sushi, created by Katsuya Uechi. Exquisite. The prices too. Don’t forget your credit cards.
It’s the club celebrities are showing up such as Leona Lewis or Christina Aguliera.
The Yelp crowd gives it three stars; so check it out and see what they say.

Echoplex LA

Echoplex LA

Echoplex is a live music venue located in the alternative Suburbia Echo Park neighborhood of Los Angeles. It is owned and operated by the same people as The Echo, and the two are considered sister venues. It is located and commonly described as being “below The Echo,” leading some to erroneously believe that its official title is “Echoplex Below The Echo.” Along with The Echo, Echoplex is affiliated with Spaceland in the Silver Lake neighborhood of Los Angeles. Some notable performers to have shows at Echoplex include The Mars Volta, Beck, NIN, and Thom Yorke.

What people say:
“… Music was bangin’! Drinks are at a descent price as well. Women, good selection. What else do you want?”

“… the alcohol isn’t over priced and the $5 cover after 10pm isn’t bad. The female-male ratio isn’t too bad either. The dress code is pretty relaxed as well, go as you like.

Private parties are supposed to be the best ones in LA. But how do you know about? Well, subscribe to the A-List clubs, and you will gain access to private parties. We will post more as soon as we know some more subscriber lists. Stay tuned.

1. Supperclub

entertains in ways that most other nightclubs are afraid of even considering. Laresca aims to incorporate the unexpected into a night at Premiere. In a recent interview, Laresca explains, “Theater is just life, and I want a theater of the absurd. We’ll have impressionists on stage, or you may see a guy dressed like Al Pacino in Scarface roaming the club in character. Eventually we’ll do one-man shows early in the evening. I have a lot of actor friends.” The 5000 square foot Spanish themed club incorporates dark wood accents and scenery with a nearly vintage and old world style appeal. However not everything is as it appears. For every hint of old world throwback there is a modern concept and technological marvel. Take for example the 1,000 lbs. fifteen-foot wide behemoth of a chandelier that is the centerpiece for the club. Not only is it made from the finest Spanish wood, but it also includes a state of the art, interior lit multi-dimensional strobe light that can provide thousands of lighting combinations throughout the club. Malibu Inn at Pacific Coast Highway 1 - the nicest road along the coast

The historical Malibu Inn is right across the street from the Malibu Pier since 1951 but its opening was in 1920 with guests such as Gloria Swanson and Harold Lloyd. Famous singer and songwriter Neil Young owned the restaurant at one time and his musical influence transformed the Malibu Inn, combining its notoriety as a place for great food, with a live entertainment venue that featured some of music’s most recognized performers including Eric Clapton, Tom Petty and Kid Rock. There are many old photographs in the bar showing the good ol’ times of Rock’n Roll.

Nowadays you can listen to live music featuring a diverse mix of rock, reggae, hip hop and enjoy  typical beach bar munchies like hamburgers and breakfast burritos after surfing, sunbathing or a relaxing time at the beach.
But see for yourself what you can expect.

Culver City has its own night life. If you go down the alley behind Rocco’s Tavern you will see an illuminated  neon sign blaring “Cocktails” – so what is behind that blaring neon sign?
Well, first there’s the doorman asking you for the password of today. That’s right, if you don’t know it – no access. How do you find the password, is the next logic question.
You must “Follow” them of course! And where to follow? Of course you need to be registered on Twitter  then you can get the secret entrance password-  @seventy7la – which is of course changing daily.

Seventy7 in Culver City

The latest Cocktail in 1920s style where the waitress seems to be a girl from Burlesque has some interesting concept and some call it the “neo-speakeasy” style.
If you like to drink something special, this is the place to go with its excellent collection of spirits including Whistle Pig Rye, Yamazaki Whiskey from Japan, and Hendrick’s, Plymouth and Beefeater gins. Maybe you can get them the two missing stars on Yelp.

Peter Piper ($14)
Hendrick’s Gin, fresh dill, cucumber, pickle juice and creme fraiche garnished with cucumber and a baby gherkin pickle
East LA Cafe ($13)
Rum Chata, Pearl Coconut Vodka, rhubarb bitters sprinkled with cinnamon

SUR Lounge in Los Angeles

SUR Lounge has become the hip lounge to hang out for celebrities in Los Angeles. Owner and creator is nobody else than Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills star Lisa Vanderpump.

“We’ve just expanded SUR Lounge and it’s doing quite well, actually,” Lisa tells RumorFix exclusively. “I was quite shocked when I heard all the who’s who in Hollywood frequent the lounge. It’s a very rewarding feeling and I just want everyone who comes to SUR Lounge to relax and enjoy themselves and have a fabulous time.”

This week alone SUR Lounge got a visit from some Hollywood favorites including X Factor’s Paula Abdul, pop star Miley Cyrus, singer La Toya Jackson, baseball player Barry Bonds, The Talk’s Sharon Osbourne, So You Think You Can Dance’s Nigel Lythgoe and Dancing With The Stars judge Bruno Tonioli.

Lisa says “It’s a combination of the food, the live DJ and the best music for which SUR is known, the ambiance and of course, the cocktails. Having a cucumber martini in the back garden is my idea of paradise and I everyone to have the same experience when they visit SUR Lounge.”

The restauranteur, who also owns the successful Villa Blanca restaurant in Beverly Hills, says, “I love being at SUR and working with my staff. It’s fun, challenging, exciting and in all honestly it pushes me to new levels,” Lisa explains. “ You know the restaurant business is a tricky one and you’ve got to constantly be on top of your game. It’s highly competitive but if you have the dedication and the passion for it — everything else will ultimately fall into place.”
